The idea for the 822 Collection, where we attempted to create a contemporary chair that summed up the essence of the classic A 811, was originally conceived for the interior of a new family restaurant in the former Norwegian stock exchange building.

The 822 Collection, and its distinctive pattern, has become and will remain iconic.  Consisting of a chair, armchair, low and high barstools, stools and a lounge chair both with and without armrests, the 822 combines the use of shaped plywood and hand-bent solid beech wood. The models can be colour-finished with stains or pigments, or the natural character can be retained with lacquer or oil.
