Four thin sheets of metal appear to be gracefully balancing on top of each other. Together they form the highly functional and sculptural side table Caramel, a temporary workstation in a meeting place and a striking object that pleases both the public and the private spheres.

Caramel is a functional side table with a sculptural shape. Side tables in an office environment tend to have a typical expression of office furniture. This table functions well in an office environment as well as in domestic spaces.

The metal sheets that form Caramel, are an exercise in geometry and perception. One shape, repeated and set at different angles, is combined to make a very playful whole. The structure invokes curiosity both when using it up close as well as seeing it at a distance.
