The cross-formation base is reminiscent of the webbing between a gecko’s fingers and toes as well as their broadened tips. This detailing gives the tables a recognisable character – hence the name – and also improves its function. The four feet are permitted to be somewhat larger, making them easier to grip and adjust to achieve stability when placed, for example, outdoors on an unlevel surface.
