As architects, we meet many situations where an upholstered armchair is needed but the space allowed for it, within an interior, is restricted. So, we created Pisa – a small, comfortable armchair with a ‘serious’ expression that appeals to the ‘architect’s eye’.

Pisa has an optional rotating base and minimized proportions, with a clear geometric expression. The strictness of the club chair’s appearance is offset by the unexpected detail of the ‘U’-shaped body leaning backwards. This lean is unexpected and playful. It also leaves a larger gap from the floor at the front of the chair, allowing for people to get in and out if the seat more easily.
