For an architectural project we needed a set of carpets. And sometimes inspiration is closer than you think. Across the street of our office is a typical 60’s style storefront building. Framing the shopwindows the building is graphically tiled with black ceramic tiles and white joints.

The pattern is not new, it is everywhere. On mid century building facades, in metro stations and in your bathroom. But in totally another material and out of scale it became carpets that are both strict and playful.
