The conceptual starting point: a box. The four walls were then pulled apart in a pinwheel formation, the gaps between becoming sliding glass partitions. The roof was lifted, expanded and twisted, then put back on to align with the ends of the four walls. The torqued roof affords each of the four facades their own patio, and own entry access: main entrance, living room, master bedroom and the daughter’s bedroom.
